The NAMM show. If you're in the music industry, nothing further
need be said. If you're not, then think of 74,000 people visiting
the Anaheim Convention Center in January, all of whom, it
seemed, walked past the Barker Bass booth. We shared a spot
with Fred Bolton, the quality Oregon luthier of Bee Basses
and a great friend. For four days Linda and Lee Barker hosted
this exciting introduction of the Barker Bass to the music
professionals of the world. Intense concentration, the unfettered
joy of discovering how easy it is to play a Barker Bass, hearing
for the first time the richness of tone and the unbelievable
sustain...This was NAMM 2004. |
