Lee and Linda Barker took the 2 1/2 hour trip from Central Oregon to see the Barker Bass on stage as part of the "Yanni Live!" concert. Early in the day they met up with Hussain Jiffry, Yanni's bass player, and shared several hours with him, hearing about his family and the life of a musician on tour. The Barkers had met Hussain at the 2004 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California where he was searching for a bass with great sustain. The Barker Bass fit the need, was purchased and has been featured on the 2003/2004 Ethnicity Tour and is currently on 2004/2005 Yanni Live! The first concert in this tour was at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, and the performance was recorded for Yanni's first live television special in 7 years. The Barkers will be huddled in front of the television when the show airs on PBS in 2005.

During the concert Linda nudged Lee and asked "do you realize your musical instrument is being played by a top level professional musician on tour with an internationally acclaimed artist in front of thousands of people?"

Lee sighed. It's slowly sinking in.
